Auric Movement LLC ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the New York SHIELD Act, the federal CAN-SPAM Act, and other applicable laws.
1. Information We Collect
We collect your full legal name and email address when you register for an event or join a waitlist. We also record the date and time of your signed waiver and the session you selected. For certain events, we ask you to disclose health information (see Section 2 below).
2. Health Information
When you register for an event, we may ask you to disclose health conditions (such as recent surgeries, injuries, pregnancy, chronic conditions, current medications, or other relevant medical information) so your instructor can ensure your safety during physical activity. This information is treated as confidential and is used solely by your instructor to provide safe and appropriate guidance. We do not share health information with any third parties. Health disclosure data is permanently deleted within 48 hours of registration — once reviewed for class preparation, the original disclosure is removed from our systems. By voluntarily disclosing health information, you consent to its limited use as described in this Policy. Auric Movement LLC is not a healthcare provider, and this information is not covered by HIPAA; however, we apply reasonable safeguards consistent with the New York SHIELD Act to protect it.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to: (a) confirm your registration; (b) send event communications; (c) notify waitlisted participants when a spot opens; (d) maintain a record of signed liability waivers; (e) process cancellations; and (f) allow your instructor to safely modify activity based on health disclosures.
4. How Your Data Is Stored
Registration data is stored via Supabase (a secure third-party database service) and transmitted via EmailJS to our inbox at auricmovement@outlook.com. Data is not transferred outside the United States. Non-sensitive registration data (name, email, session, payment confirmation) is retained until 30 days after the event for operational purposes. (Health disclosure retention is described in Section 2.)
5. Third-Party Services We Use
To operate our booking, communication, and feedback systems, we rely on the following third-party service providers. Each operates under its own privacy policy:
6. Third-Party Payment Processing
Payment processing is handled by Stripe (see Section 5). We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details. Any financial information you provide is submitted directly to and governed by Stripe’s privacy policy.
7. We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information — including health information — with any third parties for marketing purposes.
8. Email Communications
By registering, you consent to receive transactional emails related to your registration. Each email includes our contact information as required by the CAN-SPAM Act.
9. Your Rights (NY SHIELD Act)
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, including health disclosures. Email us at auricmovement@outlook.com. We will respond within 30 days.
10. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards consistent with the New York SHIELD Act, including encryption in transit, access controls, and limited retention periods.
11. Minors
Our events and this website are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
